L'Occitane Cherry Blossom Gift Set

Hello, hello! Somehow for the past two weeks it was extremely difficult to be on top of my 365 blog. I have the photos but getting to a wifi area was a challenge when we were away and when we got back we had commitments to attend to. But I think that's it now for a while.. No more birthday parties lined up for ourselves or for Poj.

Today we went to Gunwharf Quays with our friends who live at Hertfordshire (106 miles/ 2 hours drive away). They all spent the night at our friends'(Cheche and Tantan) so we were able to enjoy their company for one more day. This place is a shopping outlet and they had good bargains to be had. 

One of them is this L'Occitane Cherry Blossom gift set which was more than half price cheaper than if bought from their usual shops. This is for my sister who would be celebrating her birthday on the 22nd May. She is the best sister anyone could wish for. She's always there for us and looks after the whole family. Kaya naman kapag may gusto yun, we try our best to get it for her kasi bihira yun magsabi ng gusto nya. She loves these stuff kaya I'm so excited for her to get it!

I just need to get gifts for my parents and I could send my gift box for my family. Hay, ang hirap ng malayo, gustuhin ko mang personally iabot ang mga gifts namin, I'm afraid Mr Postman would have to do it for us....

Birthday Party

Papa E's birthday is on the 19th but we are celebrating it with our friends today. I think we finished everything that we needed to do and was able to prepare a simple spread even if we were pressed for time.  The weather was cold but sunny and everyone was in good spirits. And if we knew that it won't rain today we could've had barbeque in the garden. Pero ok na rin, we had enough food and kwentuhan for the day. Food and good company always goes well together =)


The party started at lunch and ended at around 9pm. By this time the kids are tired (Poj was already in bed!) and everyone's full up & laughed out! It was a perfect ending to a busy week.
This post is short coz it's late and I'm mega tired, but I'll blog about his party on KP blog with photos of course =)

Monday, Coffee & Gift

Poj & I took advantage of the sunny day and went out for a walk in the morning. We also walked to the shops and bought pressies for friend's birthday and more stuff that we need for the picnic party. 

In the evening I went out to see a couple of friends, one of which I haven't seen for a while. It was short but still nice, it's always lovely to catch up with friends. I work with Sally at the hospital and we even share the same office but we rarely get to see each other. And Richard now lives in Berlin with his beautiful family and I am rubbish at keeping track of his sched (he is in England every 4th week). I spoke to Papa E and asked him when we could fly there for a visit coz I am dying to see Katrin (Richard's wife) & their gorgeous boy, Oliver again.  Some days it's still weird that we used to work so closely together in the hospital and now she's back to Germany. 

So when I got home I asked Papa E on when we could fly out there for a visit - and he said we'll have a look at it. Yay! I'm excited =)

They also gave Poj a pressie which he loved. He said a big 'wow' when I gave him his little package. He loves the little toy car. He thinks it was cool that he could open the doors. And he loves puzzles and played with it straight away.

I'm planning of inviting them both here for my birthday for some Indian, and maybe I could bake a cake for us too =)

Our Saturday was spent at home. It was warm and sunny today but we wanted Poj to rest and get better coz he really wanted to go his friend, Imogen's party tomorrow.  He said he feels a lot better, although he was still tearful and clingy - classic signs that means Poj is not feeling too good =(

But we are being optimistic that he would be well enough to go though, it would be such a shame if he miss it - he's so excited bless him, it's all he talks about! We already prepared his gift for the celebrant. We don't know her that well so Papa E went for the safest toy, Minnie Mouse thinking hoping that all toddlers love Disney characters specially Mickey and Minnie. Fingers cross she likes it.

Mother's Day Gift

Today is Mother's Day here in the UK. Papa E coached little Poj, and was awaken by his kiss and was greeted with "Happy Mother's Day, Ina"

My boys bought me flowers and gave me a new Cath Kidston bag as a gift. The celebration did not end there, we also went to Brighton in the afternoon. They played at the beach while I happily took pictures. And before going home we had hot chocolate and cakes at Choccywoccydoodah cafe (they are well known for their bespoke Belgian chocolate cakes).  I would post about the shop on my main blog soon.

I had a fabulous day and was spoilt rotten by my boys. Thanks so much Poj and Papa E, I love you both so much.

Late Christmas Gift

I blogged about our friend's birthday party yesterday. And it's amazing that we came bearing one gift for the celebrant and went home carrying gifts from our other friends. And one of those gifts is this beauty. (took the pic while it's still in it's wrapper, excited much =)

Our friend Mercy said this was her late Christmas gift to us coz she was unable to make it to our Christmas party. She is so sweet, don't you think?

I love orchids coz it reminds me of home and my parents. We sell orchids for our business. So you can imagine our house being surrounded by Phalaenopsis similar to this. Although I have to say I am not gifted with a green thumb like my parents so a whole lot of effort is needed to ensure my orchid is kept healthy and alive - wish me luck!

We have been invited by a friend his birthday party for tomorrow. It was a short notice party invite but luckily we're free so we can go. We already missed another friend's invite last weekend coz I already had a previous commitment. 


This is what we'll be giving our friend George for his birthday tomorrow. I really like it's smell, though I personally don't think the name is appropriate coz I'd describe it as a bit subtle, nice and clean - definitely not Loud.
